The soloist Bogdan ȘERBAN is a graduate of Hyperion University, Faculty of Arts, specialization “Performing Arts” (Acting).

Bogdan has been studying singing since the age of 6, and over the time has shown a constant presence on TV shows and on the stages of festivals and profile competitions. Mentors and teachers such as Dan Dimitriu and Anca Parlog contributed to his musical education.

Between 2009-2016, he was a contributor to the Children’s Comic Opera in Bucharest, participating in tournaments in Egypt, Canada, India and China. Among the roles played at the Children’s Comic Opera we mention: “Hapciu in RE Major”, “Peter Pan” or “Baron Munchausen”, all three directed by Cristian Mihăilescu.

Bogdan‘s most important mentor was the actress Stela Popescu, with whom he had the chance and the honor to play in shows such as “Aladin” or “Chirița la Iași”, musicals adapted by Roman Vlad.

Bogdan was successful on the TMA stage in the role of Păcală in the musical “Păcală şi Tândală”, adapted from the famous authentic Romanian folk music, Făt-Frumos and Buzdugan in the musical “Înșir’te Mărgărite”, adapted from Victor Eftimiu by Fiorello, the servant of Count Almaviva in “Figaro Style”, adaptation for children after the opera “The Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini, of Flasnetar in the ballet “La Piață”, adaptation after Mihail Jora but also of the Presenter of the show “Povestea Florii-Soarelui”.

Along with the TMA Ensemble, he represented Romania at the WORLD CUP OF FOLKLORE 2020 online, obtaining, among other awards, LAUREATE I – GOLD DIPLOMA and SPECIAL AWARD awarded by EURO-FOLK ACADEMY, coordinator of international festivals organized under the auspices of EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF FOLKLORE partner as well as the Symbol, Tradition and Inspiration Award at the 16th RYAN INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL – New Delhi, India.

Trivia: Between 2014 and 2016, Bogdan was one of the four soloists of the “Station 4” boyband, employed by the “Mango Records” Production House, and in 2016 he was the presenter of the “Youth Festival” in Mangalia.
