Carmen MĂRGĂRIT is a graduate of the “Floria Capsali” Choreography High School, where she obtained the certification of ballerina – professional dancer (2016), and a graduate of the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Letters, Department of Communication and Public Relations. She is currently completing her master’s degree at the Faculty of Letters – Models of Communication and Public Relations.
Over the time, Carmen has participated in training workshops given by renowned choreographers such as Gigi Căciuleanu, Eva Sanchez Martz, Beth Soll, Ladjánszki Márta and has been co-opted in several collaborative projects with the Bucharest National Opera in ballets “Corsair” and “Snow White”, National Dance Center in “Reenacting Lizica Codreanu”, “Reenacting Vera Proca-Ciortea”, “Tribute to Iris Barbura”.
In parallel with the activity on stage, since 2014 she has made television appearances, being part of the ballets of the shows “Next Star” – Antena 1, for 6 seasons, “KidSing” – Kanal D, “Stop Time” – National TV.
Among the projects in which she took part are appearances in videos and concerts with: Vama Band, Coma Band, Elena Gheorghe, Akcent, Andrei Leonte, Călin Geambașu Band, Miki (Ex K-Pital), etc., but also the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie – 2020.
After graduating from high school, she began collaborating with the “Stela Popescu” Theater. She played roles in the premieres of the shows “Harap-Alb”, “Aladdin”, “Mr. Goe”, “ The Little Prince ”,“ The Pearl Thief ”and participated in national and international tours. During this period, in parallel with her activity in the theater, Carmen was part of the cast of the musical “Frozen” which was played on the stage of the Palace Hall and had begun collaborating with the Constantin Tănase Theater.
Over the time, Carmen has participated in many national and international competitions, including: the National Choreography Olympiad (where she won third place and then the first mention), the “4 Art” Contest (1st place) , “TrixieFest” (3rd place), “World Cup of Folklore” (Grand Prix).
Recently, she signed the choreography for Giorgia Sinicorni, the main actress in the film “Stormy Nights”, directed by Cristina Iacob (Produced by Zazu Film).
Since the fall of 2018, Carmen has been part of the ballet of the TEATRULUI MUZICAL AMBASADORII, with which she has toured in Bulgaria, Germany, India. You applauded her in the role of Amanda, in the ballet “La Piață”, adaptation after Mihail Jora, in the musicals “Păcală şi Tândală”, adaptation after the famous romanian archaic stories and “Înșir’te Mărgărite”, adaptation after Victor Eftimiu, in the show “Povestea Florii-Soarelui ”, based on authentic Romanian folk music, but also in the ballet “ Beauty and the Beast ”, adapted from Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot by Villeneuve.
Together with the TMA Ballet Ensemble, Carmen has won numerous awards for participating in major international competitions and festivals. Among them 1st place – GOLDEN DIPLOMA at the GOLDEN DANCE online international competition, SPECIAL AWARD awarded by EURO-FOLK ACADEMY, coordinator of international festivals organized under the auspices EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF FOLKLORE FESTIVALS, UNESCO partner, LAUREATE I – GOLD DIPLOMA OF WORLD , Ryan Foundation Trophy at the 16th RYAN INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL – New Delhi, India.
Trivia: Carmen studied and sang for several years, and in high school she played the piano. She is passionate about nature, traveling and enjoys outdoor activities.
