Soprano Andreea BUCUR is a graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest, Classical Singing Department. In 2018, she obtained a master’s degree from the same University and continued her studies at the Vienna State Opera Academy. She improved her art even more in master classes given by artists such as Sopranos – Mariana Nicolesco, Leontina Văduva, Eleonora Enăchescu, Marina Krilovici, mezzo-sopranos Bruna Baglioni, Aura Twarowska, Tenors – Teodor Ilincai, Vasile Moldoveanu.
A voice with a unique imprint, Andreea is a constant presence on the stages of theaters and several Philharmonics: the National Opera in Bucharest, the Romanian Opera in Craiova, where she debuted in the third year of college with the opera “The Elixir of Love”, directed by Andras Kurthy- Hungary, the National Opera and Operetta Theater “Nae Leonard” from Galați, the Philharmonic from Sibiu, Arad and Craiova, but also the Philharmonic from Argostola, Greece.Andreea shone in the lead roles: Saffi from the operetta “Gypsy Voivode” by Johann Strauss-son, Mimi from the opera “Bohemia” by Giacomo Puccini, Silvia from the operetta “Silvia, Princess of Ceardas” by Emmerich Kalman, Countess Maritza from the operetta “Countess Maritza ” by Emmerich Kalman, Gabriela from the operetta“ Viennese Blood ”, by Johann Strauss – son.
A series of concerts and successful musical events presented Andreea in National and International distributions at the Ball of the Viennese Royal Opera, with soprano Elena Mosuc, Concerts of arias and lieds at the Romanian Athenaeum, “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, with the Craiova Philharmonic , “Requiem” vocal-symphonic concert with Gabriel Faure, conductor Konrad Von Abel, at the Romanian Broadcasting – Mihail Jora studio, Gala Concert at the Sibiu State Philharmonic, conductor Orazio Baronello-Italy, Concert at the Romanian Athenaeum with Maestro Vasile Moldoveanu, Concert Gala at the Arad State Philharmonic, conductor Roberto Salvalaio – Italy, Concert at the opening of the “Chei” Festival – conductor Giulio Prandi, Italy, Concert at the Argostoli Philharmonic-Greece, with soprano Marina Krilovici.
In the period of 2005-2017, Andreea was the soloist of the “Symbol” choir, conductors Jean Lupu and Luminița Guțanu, with whom she had numerous tours in Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Macedonia, Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, performed and toured inside the country and abroad (Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, India), as a soloist of the “Stela Popescu” Theater and of the Teatrului Muzical Ambasadorii.
As a TMA artist, Andreea shone in such roles as Rosina in “Figaro Style”, a children’s adaptation of Gioachino Rossini’s “Barber of Seville” the ballet “La Piață”, adapted after Mihail Jora.
A voice with a unique imprint, Andreea stood out at all the International competitions in which she participated. Among the distinctions with which she was awarded, we mention: I PRIZE AWARD at the COPENHAGEN STARS 2021 International Festival, GOLDEN DIPLOMA, 1st degree Laureate at the GOLDEN VOICE International Competition, but also the “Symbol, Tradition and Inspiration” award, obtained after participating in RYAN INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL – New Delhi, India.
To these are added important prizes won as a member of the TMA Ensemble at the XV SOMMERFEST FESTIVAL Nuremberg, Germany or WORLD CUP OF FOLKLORE – Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.Trivia: Andreea has been preparing for the stage since the age of 4, when she started taking ballet, theater and music classes. She studied piano and guitar at the “Dinu Lipatti” College of Arts in Bucharest. In addition to music, she enjoys reading, traveling, and playing sports.
